Treehouse Educational Center offers a comprehensive Pre-Kindergarten program designed to foster curiosity, independence, and readiness for kindergarten. With a low student-to-teacher ratio and a Christ-centered environment, children engage in a variety of activities aimed at developing essential skills such as phonics, math, and language. The curriculum includes nationally recognized resources like Frogstreet Bi-lingual Curriculum and educational platforms like IXL and ABC Mouse, enhancing learning through both individual and collective participation.
The learning environment at THEC is diverse, featuring areas dedicated to math, reading, science, and creative expression. Weekly themed lessons, aligned with letters of the alphabet, provide a structured yet dynamic approach to learning. Through a balance of academics and play, children develop crucial skills like self-control, listening, and cooperation, preparing them for the transition to kindergarten.
In addition to academic instruction, THEC offers a range of extra-curricular activities, including Bible Club, Physical Education, Music & Movement, and language classes. These opportunities supplement the core curriculum and provide children with a well-rounded educational experience that nurtures their spiritual, physical, and cognitive development.
Treehouse Educational Center offers an After Care Program for families needing extended hours beyond the school day. With a focus on providing a safe and engaging environment, children are welcomed with nutritious snacks and outdoor play before transitioning to homework assistance and enrichment activities. The program caters to students from Chickasaw Elementary, Deerwood Elementary, and Little River Elementary, ensuring convenience for families from these schools.
The After Care Program operates from 3:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. on regular school days, providing a structured schedule that includes time for homework, reading, Bible activities, games, and indoor/outdoor play. Emphasizing the importance of reading, the program aims to support children’s academic and social development while allowing them to unwind from their school day.
Parents can rely on the program coordinator to communicate any changes in schedule, as the program is not offered during school holidays or half days. This commitment to clear communication ensures families can plan accordingly and trust their children are well-cared for during extended hours.
